This is an adorably quirky and welcoming place to get coffee...and sit on a couch, meet with friends, do a jigsaw puzzle, look at and buy (or wish for) original artwork from local creative people. Sincerely friendly and warm staff every time I visit.

Coffee was really excellent as was the service. The armstrong drop ceiling and lack of any architectural details within the space was not. Why bother having the business there otherwise. Hopefully if more people buy more coffee perhaps the owners can fix that issue.

If I empty my coffee pot and still need a little more, or I’m downtown, this is the perfect spot for good coffee, and good food, at a great price. The people that work here are always very nice and helpful. I have had some petty strange coffee orders and they make them up perfect each time. When they first opened I was skeptically hopeful that Harvard was going to have an alternative to the usual coffee available around town. My first visit was very positive. By my third I knew our little town had a coffee shop for lovers of coffee and coffee drinks. I can always find parking within a few doors of the Firehouse.

The absolute best coffee and tea McHenry county offers.The staff is always ready to make your order the way you want it. This is also the only venue in Harvard IL, that has constant events for music and art. It's right by the train station. The owner is really cute. What more do you want from a place to visit in a small town?

My girlfriend and I decided to stop into a small town coffee joint on our way to Geneva and Firehouse was an awesome experience. Service was quick, Connor was a pleasure the whole time. She really made us feel welcome! Highly recommend!

Strong coffee with a wide variety of customization options! Not to mention, the coffee tastes amazing–sweet without feeling like you’re drinking straight syrup! Lemon Poppyseed muffin the size of your face, well worth the $2.50! The employees were polite, quick, and sociable. The environment gave a very home-y vibe despite never having been here before. Would go again :)

Very cute coffee/tea house! Lots of options. I had a delicious peppermint tea and the barista warned me it would be very hot, and offered to throw some ice cubes in. I thought that was very thoughtful. I also had a chocolate muffin, it was very rich. I’d come again!

Very nice staff, talkative and actually feels like they want to know how your day was. A very small town and homey feel to the place. Offer a wide variety of coffee flavors alcoholic included. To top it all off the cafe has a piano in it for anybody to fiddle with and have fun playing
